LWV-HF Area Annual Meeting!
The LWV-HF Area board has been working hard on plans for our annual meeting, where we will present a new budget and a slate of candidates for open positions on the board.
The LWV-HF area annual meeting will be held virtually on the evening of Thursday, June 11th at 6:00 p.m . Registration for the meeting is required in order to ensure we will have a quorum and will only have members voting.
REGISTER HERE and you will then receive an email with a link to join the annual meeting. The email will include a link to join by laptop, PC, or smartphone. It will also contain a phone number with meeting id # if you need to do call in only. Using a device instead of calling in only is highly encouraged if possible for voting purposes! Please plan to log in a few minutes before 6 to be sure any technical issues are cleared up for our 6pm start time.
Deadline: Registration deadline is Tuesday, June 9th.
ZOOM VIRTUAL MEETING PLATFORM
We are using the Zoom webinar platform for the meeting. That means that those attending will be able to see and hear those who are leading the meeting but will not be on the screen or have the ability to speak using a microphone. The webinar allows for everyone to participate in voting and there is a chat tool that will be used for participants to ask questions or participate in discussion of motions by typing in the chat. Motions and seconds will be made by those who are on the screen and helping in some way to lead the meeting. We will do a short tutorial at the beginning of the meeting so attendees are comfortable with the technology. If you aren't familiar with Zoom, check out this Zoom article for further information.
